SUMMARY OF JOB
The Pharmacy Analyst is a key member of the Information Services Team, responsible for supporting all pharmacy-related systems with a strong focus on patient care impact, clinical outcomes, and quality improvement. This role involves the building, testing, maintenance, upgrading, evaluation, and implementation of pharmacy software applications across the organization.
The position requires strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills to effectively support complex medication-management systems. The Pharmacy Analyst works under the direction of the Pharmacy Applications and Education Manager and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams-including pharmacy staff, other application analysts to gather input for system design, optimize workflows, and provide education that enhances end-user productivity.
Additional responsibilities include evaluating, defining, and testing new medications within the Hospital EHR, Hospital Pharmacy systems, and other medication-related platforms to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance.
The Pharmacy Analyst will provide on-call after hours support.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree (Pharm.D., M.S.) in pharmacy
  • Current active Pharmacist License in Pennsylvania
  • Experience working with pharmacy systems, EHRs, and medication-management applications
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Acute Care Application Systems. Systems that include CPOE, eprescribing, Pharmacy, Electronic Medication Administration, clinical documentation, Infection control systems, billing systems, and Medication distribution systems.
  • Proven proficiency in billing systems and evaluation of accurate medication billing information
  • Ability to ensure processes and workflows are reviewed, documented, changed, and optimized as part of all technology deployment.
  • Software Proficiency with a strong skill in Microsoft office and understanding SQL coding, system analysis and product architecture.
  • Proficient is data analysis, generate reports and use reporting tools to analyze medication use
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the IT, end users and vendor community.
