Job Summary:
Northeastern University is seeking a Distinguished Research Fellow at Khoury College of Computer Sciences to establish and lead an independent research program. The role involves designing and overseeing a comprehensive research agenda, securing funding, and mentoring PhD students.
Responsibilities:
• establish and lead an independent research program
• design, execution, and oversight of a comprehensive research agenda
• securing external research funding
• managing project budgets
• recruiting and mentoring PhD students
• directing their own research program
• serving on external program committees
• building collaborative relationships with industry, government, and nonprofit partners
Qualifications:
Required:
• Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent by position start date
• Demonstrate progressively advanced research experience
• Show outstanding achievement in their area of computer science, evidenced by a strong record of influential publications, inventions, or equivalent scholarly contributions, with recognition within the discipline
• Demonstrated project management experience is required, including supervisory, budgetary, and general administrative responsibilities
