Job description

Industrial Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to work as part of a team that keeps our equipment for producing the “best ice cream you ever tasted” and other quality baked goods and candy in excellent condition. This person will work on a small team that supports two food-manufacturing facilities in the Cincinnati area. The goal is to optimize production output and maintain the seamless functioning of all equipment and machinery.  

The Industrial Maintenance Technician participates with Maintenance and Operational leadership to ensure all aspects of manufacturing operations are maintained  to optimize and ensure seamlessly functioning equipment and facilities. The maintenance technician recognizes the flow within all departments of manufacturing or retail stores and the impact of various maintenance challenges as it flows within the facility.

Expected Schedule:  Generally, 1st shift with weekend shared on-call responsibilities.

Essential Functions Include but are not limited to: 

  • Maintain timely responses to work orders and urgent service needs. 
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance.
  • Installs and replaces equipment according to specifications. 
  • Has working knowledge in HVAC, electrical circuitry, VFDs, plumbing, and carpentry. 
  • Ability to work with small refrigerators and freezers.
  • Help maintain the maintenance shop's inventory to minimize downtime.

Job Requirements:  

  • A high school or GED degree.   
  • A minimum of 5 years of responsibility with industrial maintenance with preferred experience in food manufacturing maintenance.
  • Proficient in the use of all hand and electric tools and equipment.  
  • A valid driver's license.
