Job description

PSX is a parking and security systems integrator serving commercial and industrial clients across multiple industries. Weve been family-operated for over 55 years and focus on building a team that values quality work, accountability, and long-term relationships.

We are hiring an Access Control / CCTV Technician to support installation and service of commercial access control systems, video surveillance (CCTV), IP camera systems, alarm systems, and related low-voltage security systems throughout the Pittsburgh area.

This is a field-based role. After training, technicians spend approximately 90% of their time working in the field across the Pittsburgh area and about 10% handling documentation and coordination. You will be assigned a company van to take home and will typically start your day directly from the field rather than reporting to the office daily.

What We Offer
$20$30/hour based on experience
Company van (take-home after training)
Company iPhone, laptop, and power tools
Medical and dental benefits
401(k)
Stable, long-term work with a growing company
Opportunity to build and expand technical skills

Key Responsibilities
Install and service access control systems, CCTV, and IP camera systems
Install and troubleshoot field devices including cameras, card readers, door contacts, electric strikes, and mag locks
Run and terminate low-voltage cabling as needed
Assist with system setup, programming, testing, and commissioning
Troubleshoot system issues in the field and complete service calls independently
Read and work from drawings, plans, and project specifications
Complete job documentation and communicate with project managers and customers
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for nights and weekends

Qualifications
Hands-on experience with access control, CCTV, alarm systems, or low-voltage field work
Ability to troubleshoot and complete service work independently
Basic networking knowledge (IP devices, connectivity troubleshooting)
Experience with installation, wiring, and device setup
Strong work ethic and communication skills
Valid drivers license
Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Preferred Experience
Experience with systems such as Genetec, Lenel, Avigilon, Brivo, Honeywell, Axis, Hanwha, OpenEye, or similar
Experience working for a security integrator, low-voltage contractor, AV company, telecom company, or electrical contractor
Experience with gate operators, turnstiles, or parking/access systems
Relevant certifications (OSHA, lift, low-voltage, manufacturer certifications)

Schedule
Monday through Friday
Primarily field-based throughout the Pittsburgh area
Rotating on-call schedule
