Job description

ARG PETRO, a well-established wholesale fuel and lubricant company with over 82 years in the industry, is currently seeking a Class A CDL Driver with Tanker and X endorsements to join our team.

Position Overview:

The Class A Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient loading, transportation, and unloading of fuel products. This role requires a strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload fuel using the truck’s transfer pump.
  • Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date driving logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Follow all applicable federal, state, local, and company safety regulations.
  • Deliver product to customer sites including convenience stores, oilfields, trucking companies, railroad yards, drilling rigs, and more.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and X (Hazmat) endorsements.
  • Minimum of 3 years commercial driving experience, with at least 1 year driving a tanker.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be at least 23 years of age.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, and work extended hours both indoors and outdoors.
  • Willingness to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Current and valid DOT medical card.
  • Clean driving record (no more than one moving violation in the past 3 years).
  • Solid knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
  • Must pass background check and drug screening.
