Our client is a mineral exploration company focused on large scale and high-grade Canadian exploration opportunities. The Company is advancing the 25,000-hectare project in Ontario, a growing copper-molybdenum porphyry system in Northern Ontario with expanding scale and discovery upside. As our client increases drilling capacity and expanding their technical footprint, we are seeking Project Geologist to join their core technical team.


Your new role


The Project Geologist will play a key role in advancing a copper porphyry exploration

project from early-stage drilling through resource delineation. This is a year-round, field-

based position operating on a rotational schedule, with fly-in/fly-out options available

depending on project requirements. The role requires strong core logging skills, the ability

to recognize alteration and mineralization styles, and the capacity to work safely and

effectively in a fast-paced, remote junior exploration environment.


  • Detailed geological logging of diamond drill core with emphasis on porphyry-style
  • alteration and mineralization
  • Supervision of core cutting, sampling, QA/QC procedures, and field staff, including core loggers, core cutters, and geotechnicians, while fostering a positive, collaborative, and productive work environment
  • Integration of drill results with surface geology, geochemistry, and geophysics
  • Coordination with drill contractors and field staff
  • Database entry, validation, and reporting
  • Assist with target refinement and drill planning
  • Maintain health, safety, and environmental compliance


What you need to succeed


  • BSc in Geology or Earth Sciences
  • 4+ years of mineral exploration experience
  • Experience logging porphyry copper drill core definitely an asset, but not a requirement
  • Experience logging diamond drill core, including oriented core
  • Familiarity with core sampling, QA/QC protocols, and database management
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise field staff and coordinate core handling and sampling
  • activities
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, field-based environment
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate UTVs and other light field vehicles safely
