Job Description

Turner & Townsendย are seeking an experiencedย Health & Safety Managerย to join our team to support a large-scale oil & gas construction project in Richmond, CA. The ideal individual will be strong in HSE fundamentals of construction safety and environmental knowledge in the Oil & Gas sector.ย 

Responsibilities:ย 

  • Provide support toย internal teams and stakeholders, including oversight of the overall construction effort and progress reporting.ย 
  • Own and manage contracts and budgets for direct contracts as assigned, ensuring alignment with cost budgets.ย 
  • Develop and coordinate detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.ย 
  • Ensure all projects adhere to health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and audits.ย 
  • Identifyย and address quality, safety, health, andย environmentalย issues.ย 
  • Proactively manage risks related to construction project execution and HES, coordinating GC actions onย riskย as necessary.ย 
  • Support the design process by reviewing drawings against project requirements, assessing constructability, and providing construction input during early project phases.ย 
  • Create and coordinate monthly, daily, and event reporting for the construction team, in collaboration with the Construction Field Representative.ย ย 
  • Issue effective meeting minutes and other documentation for site progress meetings, Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings, and other required meetings.ย 
  • Coordinate and support the RFI and submittal process, working with the cost controller to ensure alignment with cost budgets.ย 
  • Assistย the client PM in coordinating the construction effort to support effective safety, QA/QC, and labor relations programs that meet IIF and OEย objectives.ย 
  • Helpย establishย the success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical, and quality performance parameters, with a focus on tactical, technical, and process delivery.ย 
  • Support the development and execution ofย contractorsย and overall purchasing strategy in concert with the client.ย 
  • Act as project schedule owner or support the project scheduler,ย maintainingย the schedule to track critical actions and milestones.ย 
  • Conduct kick-off and regular meetings with key project stakeholders (architects, engineers, suppliers, contractors) to track and report on progress.ย 
  • Work with other project function teams to review as-built documents and other closeout items.ย 
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including subcontractors and vendors.ย 
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members.ย 
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, permits, and compliance records.ย 
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.ย 
Qualifications


ย 

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or equivalent work experience.
  • Oil & Gas Sector experience required.
  • Minimum 5- 7 years of relevant experienceย 
  • CCM certification preferredย 
  • The followingย certifications are preferred OSHA 30 certification;ย OSHA 500/510, BCSP Qualified Credentials (OHST, ASP, CSP, or CHST), and CPR.ย 
  • Proven experience in implementing and monitoring project HSE plans or contractor site safety plans.ย 
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure projects are managed to the right quality standards, completed efficiently, and on time.ย 
  • Strong ability to build andย maintainย working relationships with clients and cross-functional team members.ย 
  • Ensure key information and data are effectively shared and appropriatelyย retained.ย 
  • Excellent communication skills.ย 
Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $140K-$160Kย per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate's experience and qualifications.ย
