Job description

Summary:
A leading heavy equipment manufacturing and service company is seeking a skilled Field Pump Mechanic to join our team. This role is primarily responsible for providing on-site service and support to clients throughout the Tri-County area. Key responsibilities include performing pump service calls for customers in the environmental services and waste treatment industries. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in the field.
Responsibilities:
* Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical and technical issues involving small diesel engines and pump systems.
* Service equipment to ensure proper operation and reliability.
* Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical support or guidance as needed.
* Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on equipment, accurately documenting service activities and customer requests.
* Retrieve rental equipment from job sites, recording and reporting any damage or maintenance concerns.
* Manage and track parts and supplies inventory on the service truck to ensure readiness for field work.
* Conduct system tests and performance evaluations to confirm equipment operates efficiently and meets quality standards.
Qualifications:
* Must be mechanically inclined, and be able to use power tools.
* Must have standard set of own tools
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
* Comfortable working around oils, grease, and dirt on a daily basis.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
* Flexibility to work on-call hours as needed.
* Must be able to communicate with customers daily.
