Job description

HVAC Field Service Lead

Quarry Hills Plumbing & HVAC is looking for an experienced HVAC professional ready to take the next step in their career. As our HVAC Field Service Lead, you will lead and mentor our technicians while remaining actively involved in hands-on fieldwork. This is an ideal opportunity for a strong lead technician who wants to take on additional responsibility without leaving the work they enjoy.

You will serve as a technical resource, support daily field operations, and help develop the next generation of HVAC technicians while continuing to perform service, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs. This role offers increased responsibility and leadership experience while allowing you to remain active in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Perform HVAC service, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs
  • Lead and support HVAC technicians in the field
  • Provide technical guidance on difficult service calls
  • Help coordinate daily workloads and technician schedules
  • Train and mentor technicians
  • Monitor workmanship, efficiency, and customer service
  • Ensure jobs meet company standards and applicable codes
  • Assist with estimates, equipment recommendations, and customer options
  • Review job documentation and ensure ServiceTitan is used properly
  • Help resolve customer and job-site concerns
  • Communicate with office staff regarding scheduling, materials, and job progress
  • Participate in an occasional on call rotation

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of HVAC field experience
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting heat pumps and ductless mini-split systems
  • Knowledge of Mass Save requirements, rebates, and installation standards
  • Experience with heating and cooling systems
  • Experience with ServiceTitan
  • Oil Burner Technician license or experience is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills
  • Ability to lead by example and work effectively with technicians and office staff
  • Applicable Massachusetts licenses and certifications preferred
