About the role

The CDL Driver III / Field Services Driver is responsible for operating vacuum trucks and supporting environmental field service projects throughout Wisconsin and surrounding areas. This position combines commercial driving responsibilities with hands-on field work, including hose handling, vacuum truck operations, equipment support, and assisting crews during industrial cleaning and environmental service projects.

Drivers will primarily operate vacuum trucks servicing non-hazardous oil pits and related industrial equipment. While most work is local, occasional travel may be required based on business needs.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Safely operate Class A or Class B commercial vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Operate vacuum truck equipment at customer and project sites.
  • Assist with hose handling, equipment setup, and job site support activities.
  • Support field crews during environmental and industrial service projects.
  • Assist with confined space entry operations when properly trained and authorized.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Complete required logs, inspections, manifests, and other operational documentation.
  • Maintain communication with supervisors and project teams regarding job status and project requirements.
  • Follow all company, customer, DOT, and safety policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CDL Class A or Class B license required.
  • Tanker endorsement required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of CDL driving experience.
  • Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and specialized vacuum equipment.
  • Ability to work in industrial environments and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Willingness to travel as business needs require, including occasional overnight assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous vacuum truck experience.
  • Environmental services, industrial cleaning, wastewater, hydro-excavation, or related industry experience.
  • Experience supporting field crews on industrial project sites.
  • Experience working around tanks, pits, industrial facilities, or confined space operations.
Schedule & Travel
  • Primarily local work throughout the Milwaukee, Portage, and Chicagoland areas.
  • Home daily for most assignments.
  • Occasional project-based travel may require overnight stays, potentially up to one to two weeks at a time on a limited basis.
  • Per diem and hotel accommodations provided for qualifying travel assignments.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work outdoors for extended periods.
  • Ability to drag hoses and perform manual labor associated with field service operations.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying weather and industrial conditions.
  • Ability to wear required PPE and work safely around industrial equipment and job sites.
  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces when required.

The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 28.85 - 38.41 USD per hour
