The Opportunity

As the Project Controls Lead Analyst - Oil & Gas Scheduler, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work in a Manager/Specialist position assigned to a role in Project Controls
  • Have supervisory/lead responsibility over a group of project controls personnel and would be responsible for overall performance management.
  • Be responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates
  • Function as a technical specialist who develops advanced concepts.   
Key Responsibilities
  • Manages a diverse team of professionals and able to achieve successful results/or is able to function as a technical specialist developing advanced concepts.

Planning/Scheduling: 

  • Leads planning and schedule preparation on more complex projects including startup planning. 
  • Addresses contractual requirements related to schedule control. 
  • As required by the business unit, expert in scheduling forensics.

PJC Management: 

  • Leads project controls team on the most complex and highest risk projects. 
    Is an integral part of the management team for project success. 
  • Collaborates with the project management leadership team to ensure project success. 
  • Identifies improvements to processes. 
  • Leads in developing staff capabilities.

PJC Specialist: 

  • Recognized as an expert in a project controls specialist area. 
  • Develop tools, systems & processes to optimize effectiveness. 
Management Responsibilities
Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry and expert level Primavera P6 experience.  
  • Master's degree or local equivalent in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Experience serving in a Leadership role for a medium- to large-sized EPC project in both Home Office and Field
  • Certificate from either PMI or AACE. 
Minimum Qualifications
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree with eight or more years of relevant Cost Control of Planning & Scheduling experience OR no four-year Bachelor's degree required with ten years or more of relevant Cost Control or Planning & Scheduling experience in Home Office or Field Office. 
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. 
Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • Office Environment: This position requires sitting, talking, hearing, keyboard input and seeing.  Occasional travel up to 25% may be required.
  • Construction Site Environment: This position requires standing, kneeling, bending, stooping, moving, and walking long distances in and around confined, cluttered places and uneven areas. It also requires the ability to see and hear naturally or with correction, work at heights above 5 feet, climb and maintain balance on stairs, ladders, and scaffolds and work up to a 12-hour shift. The work environment may involve cramped workspaces, very hot or cold temperatures, inclement weather, extreme lighting conditions, distracting or uncomfortable noise levels, and hazardous equipment.
  • Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.

State of Minnesota: $121,947 - $182,900
