Job description

Hybrid Role in Denver, CO

Full-Time | Long-Term Contract Opportunities

C-Shift Consulting partners with leading organizations across higher education, mining, technology, and enterprise environments to support complex transformation initiatives. We are looking for an experienced Change Management Lead to embed with one of our mining industry clients and drive change management across a portfolio of continuous improvement and organizational transformation initiatives.

This is a lead-level role for a seasoned change practitioner, someone who builds trust with senior stakeholders, moves work forward through influence, and translates complex organizational change into clear, actionable outcomes.

Role Overview

You'll serve as the primary change practitioner on a fast-moving transformation engagement, working directly alongside project and program leadership. Your job is to lead the change: stakeholder engagement, impact assessment, communications, readiness planning, and adoption, while maintaining the executive-level visibility leadership needs to make good decisions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead change management planning and execution across one or more concurrent workstreams
  • Conduct stakeholder analyses, impact assessments, and readiness evaluations
  • Develop change deliverables including communication plans, engagement strategies, training support, and executive presentations
  • Build and maintain relationships with initiative sponsors and functional leaders to drive adoption and reduce resistance
  • Track adoption metrics and surface insights to support decision-making and course correction
  • Support the Management Operating System; governance routines, status reporting, and team coordination
  • Facilitate workshops, leadership alignment sessions, and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Develop strategic communications for leadership and functional teams
  • Maintain executive-ready reporting to support leadership visibility across the portfolio

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5–8+ years of experience in change management, organizational development, or transformation program support
  • Experience leading change on complex enterprise initiatives: operating model transformation, organizational redesign, system implementations, or M&A integration
  • Proficiency with change frameworks
  • Ability to build trust quickly with senior stakeholders and move work forward through influence rather than authority
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable operating at both executive and team levels
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams with precision and follow-through
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Smartsheet, or similar tools
  • Consulting or 1099 contract experience preferred

Industry experience with stage-gate process in mining/metals, oil/gas, construction, or other regulated environments is a strong plus.

What We Look For

  • Relationship builders who earn trust fast and know how to lead through influence
  • Structured thinkers who bring clarity and order to complex, ambiguous environments
  • Strong communicators who can flex between executive briefings and team-level execution
  • Professionals who manage details with accuracy and never drop the ball on follow-through
  • Self-starters who operate with a high degree of autonomy and contribute quickly
  • Collaborative partners who integrate seamlessly into client teams and cultures

Engagement Details

  • 1099 Consultant Roles
  • Full-time long-term contracts (with potential extensions)
  • Competitive contract rates based on experience
  • Hybrid – 3 days onsite in the DTC area (Denver, CO)

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned change professional who thrives in complex, high-stakes environments and is energized by meaningful work across diverse industries and clients.
