Application Lab Technician

An Application Laboratory Technician with the global leader in the creation of Flavours and Fragrances, and providing critical support for our Creative Fragrances Development team, and based in Morocco - Your future position?

As an'Application Lab Technician'You will support the Application team to prepare Fragrance applications in different bases, meeting the needs of Creative and Development teams. You will report to the Technical and Laboratory Team Lead.

In this role, you will:

Bring your passion:

  • Assist in applying fragrances to consumer products when assigned.
  • Assist in the administration of materials and laboratory organisation.
  • Perform colour matching and recommend dyes as per client request.

Utilise the very best of you:

  • Follow SOP's and prepare applications with quality, speed and accuracy.
  • Demonstrate a basic ability in formulation development and preparation of internal bases.

Drive efficiencies and excellence:

  • Ensure and maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment and lab equipment in accordance with EH&S guidelines and good laboratory practices.
  • Administration of sample requests and ordering of fragrance oils.
  • Record and communicate results accurately and promptly.
  • Management of fragrance oils, customer base and internal base inventories.

Your professional profile includes:

  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy or a relevant discipline.
  • 2-3 years in a Fragrance Applications/Compounding or Chemicals or a related laboratory environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong affinity and interest in Fragrances.
  • Having Olfactory skills would be beneficial.
  • Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English, French and Arabic languages.
  • Ablity to demonstrate proficiency in using common PC applications.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of lab documentation protocol and handling lab equipments and chemicals used to perform lab functions.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to give attention to details.
  • A flexible team player with a sense of facilitation and strong organisational skills.
