As a Hall's Culligan BLC Sales Manager, you'll drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, and team performance at the dealership. This role leads, coaches, and develops a high-performing sales team while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The Sales Manager uses market insights and product expertise to shape strategy, partners with marketing to amplify sales efforts, and maintains a strong presence in the community to build brand visibility and local relationships. With a focus on accountability, development, and results, this role is key to the dealership’s ongoing success.

What you’ll do:

Team Performance & Collaboration:

  • Attain yearly budget goals for assigned sales team and departments.
  • Clearly tracks, measures, and shares expected activity measures with team members.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager in establishing and recommending the most realistic unit/sales goals for the team.
  • Collaborate with General Manager to accurately forecast the annual sales revenue budget.
  • Proactively manage team hiring and retention, ensuring the team is filled with happy and performing people.
  • Manage the companies’ sales activities to maximize sales revenue and meet corporate objectives.
  • Actively work toward shared dealership goals, including improved Hall’s Scorecard metrics.

Coaching & Development:

  • Establish and manage effective programs to compensate, coach, evaluate, and train sales personnel.
  • Deliver impactful training sessions, and facilitates effective one-on-one coaching meetings.
  • Coach reps on improving sales presentations, handling objections, and navigating competitive situations with confidence.
  • Conduct ride-a longs to stay connected to the field, observe customer interactions, and reinforce product knowledge.
  • Drive profitability by teaching consultative selling and value-based sales approaches.
  • Align internal resources to support the sales team, ensuring smooth execution and consistent results.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Assist sales personnel in establishing strong, personal connections with key decision-makers to support long-term customer growth.
  • Build and nurture lasting customer relationships that lead to repeat business, referrals, and a reputation for reliability. Contributes to high VoC (Voice of the Customer) scores.
  • Represent the company at local events, trade shows, and networking functions to foster brand visibility within the community.
  • Build partnerships with local businesses and community organizations to support mutual growth and expand the company’s local presence.

Data & Marketing Alignment:

  • Maintain active and accurate CRM database use.
  • Ensure all leads are successfully dispositioned.
  • Develop strategic plans to drive revenue growth across all product lines, using customer insights, market trends, and competitive data to shape direction.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales strategies with promotional efforts, campaigns, and product launches.
  • Continuously monitor market dynamics and adjusts tactics to stay ahead of competitors and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge and stays current on new offerings, services, and industry trends to ensure the team is well-informed and prepared.

Safety:

  • Ensure dealership operations comply with all safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Lead safety training and enforces protocols to maintain a safe environment for employees and customers.
  • Oversee incident reporting and investigations, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
  • Respond to emergencies, providing direction to minimize disruption and ensure safety.
  • Maintain compliance with legal requirements and safety standards, working with legal and insurance teams as needed.
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive customer and employee information.

Where you’ll work:

Our Sales Managers spend their time both working in the dealership and regularly traveling throughout the assigned territory. Typically, the hours are flexible to accommodate business needs, customer meetings, and events. You can expect to work in various environments, both indoors and outdoors under all weather conditions, and may occasionally work in industrial settings. Throughout the day, you'll spend extensive time driving, as well as getting in and out of your vehicle. The physical demands of this role include lifting, carrying and moving heavy items, standing, kneeling, and bending.

Your qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with no restrictions or limitations.
  • Must pass/maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • 3+ years of prior sales experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role preferred.
  • Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and trend information.
  • Proficient in using a CRM platform.
  • Must remain physically capable, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the duties required of this position.
  • Must be able to successfully pass criminal background and drug screening checks per company requirements.
