Job description

THIS POSITION WILL BE FOR OUR GUERNSEY COUNTY REST AREAS ON I77 NORTH AND SOUTH BOUND (MILE MARKERS 37 & 39)

Zanesville Welfare Organization and Goodwill Industries, Inc. has an opening for a Caretaker, Building and Grounds Floater in Guernsey County, Ohio.

This position will require the employee to travel and work at our different rest areas in Guernsey County, as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fill in for full/part-time contract workers scheduled time off.
  • Clean and sanitize front entrance glass, floors, cabinets, baseboards, drinking fountain, and walls.
  • Clean and sanitize restroom floors, wall, stall partitions, toilets, urinals, mirrors, sinks and trash cans.
  • Sweep sidewalks, pick-up trash, remove snow using hand shovel when needed.
  • Operate weed-eater; trim shrubs and bushes, weed flower beds, spread mulch, plant and move shrubbery.
  • Use hand tools to cut, weed, and trim landscape areas.
  • Follow proper procedures in closing and cleaning restrooms.
  • Wet mop floors and steps; strip, seal, wax and buff when needed.
  • Clean and sanitize lunchroom, and other public and employee areas; wipe down trim and walls; polish brass and room dividers.
  • Maintain offices, waiting areas, garage areas, etc. in a clean and orderly condition
