Automotive Sales BDC Manager – Ron Marhofer Buick & GMC

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated, coachable, and quick-learning professional to join our team and step into a leadership role as our Automotive Sales BDC (Business Development Center) Manager.

The Position

We are not looking for just anyone; we are looking for the right candidate. This role is designed for a high-potential professional who wants to learn the ins and outs of dealership operations and step up into a high-impact management position.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing, supervising, and executing guest communications (phone, internet, and text) that align with our core values. You will oversee a team of BDC representatives, ensuring our guests receive a welcoming, professional experience from their very first interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Guest Experience: Oversee and guide the BDC team to ensure all inbound and outbound inquiries (calls, web forms, emails, and chat) are handled promptly, professionally, and courteously.
  • Coach and Train: Train staff in the art and science of guest-facing communication, including proper phone scripts, appointment setting appointments, and follow-up strategies.
  • Performance Management: Set goals, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and monitor lead conversion and appointment-show ratios.
  • Review and Refine: Listen to live and recorded calls to constantly improve the quality of our guest interactions.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the sales floor and management teams to ensure a seamless, high-quality transition from the first point of contact to an in-person showroom visit.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Proven success in automotive internet sales, BDC representation, or dealership guest-facing roles.
  • The Right Attitude: Highly motivated, eager to learn, coachable, and hungry for career advancement into dealership management.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent, clear, and empathetic verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with automotive CRM systems and dealership management software (DMS).
