JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for coordinating and implementing our customer's HSE Management Systems; including but not limited to, working with contractors and customers on document preparation, audits and investigations, incident investigations, delivery of HSE training and onsite assurance checks, gas monitoring, permit writing, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. At least 4 years of offshore HSE experience required.
  2. Deepwater Production, Construction, P&A and Projects preferred.
  3. Ability to Coach, Teach/Mentor.
  4. Investigation Trained - Taproot, Cause Mapping etc.
  5. Waste Management
  6. NPDES and GHG knowledge
  7. BSEE, USCG and OSHA regulations
  8. THUET, BOSSIET, TWIC, Rigpass and plus
  9. Current and valid state driver's license
  10. A proven record implementing various policies and procedures that have resulted in reducing safety incidents in the workplace is ideal.
  11. Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written. Position requires strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
  12. Excellent presentation skills and interpersonal skills required.
  13. Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, the ability to plan and manage work in an efficient manner, and the ability to work well under stress and time pressures.
  14. Must be able to read, write and communicate professionally and effectively with employees and managers. Must possess the ability to write simple correspondence or reports. 1. Work with company and contractor's site management team to implement the project and site safety programs to craft solutions that focus on reducing costs and improve service.
2. Manage hazard and risk assessments for oil and gas exploration, production, midstream, refining, distribution through formal safety assessments.
3. Work with customers to design, enhance, and maintain safety management systems.
4. Advise site team (company, contractor, and subcontractors) of the company's safety requirements, regulations, expectations, and best practices.
5. Provide overall administration, technical guidance, and leadership in complying, interpreting and implementing all regulatory requirements regarding safety.
6. Develop and implement Health, Safety & Security policies and procedures in compliance with Group, local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations and safety best practices.
7. Plans, writes and delivers safety training programs that will ensure proficiency in safe practices.
8. Develop best in class HSE performance, drive culture change and provide demonstrable process improvements through cost of quality measures
9. Ensures safety policies and procedures are followed by providing suitable assurance audits as deemed necessary.
10. Inspects or audits facility activities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards to ensure gaps are closed.
11. Leads investigations and prepares accident root cause investigations.
12. Keeps other managers, employees and contractors alerted as to the hazards and risks in the workplace or site.
13. Communications with operations and HR teams, including daily interaction and regular safety discussions with a broad range of staff, to ensure trends are picked up and HSE management programs are suitably informed and relevant.
14. Develops, upgrades, and manages HSE programs.
15. Provides regulatory interface.
16. Represents company in outside HSE organizations.
17. Generate reports for management and customers as needed.
18. May carry/handle equipment.
