Job description

Location: Cincinnati, OH & future assignments that may involve multiple or unanticipated worksites

Seeking experienced and reliable Pipefitters that can comprehend individual project scopes, interpret blueprints and collaborate with other professionals on the job to ensure a mutual understanding of responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Tasks:

  • Install, maintain, and repair piping systems in accordance with blueprints and specifications
  • Build and rig pipe systems for various applications, including HVAC systems
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to determine pipe layouts and configurations
  • Use precision tools such as calipers to measure and cut pipes to the required length
  • Assemble and fabricate pipe components, including fittings, valves, and supports
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations during all installation and repair work
  • Perform tube bending and shaping as needed to fit pipes into designated spaces

Requirements:

  • Experience Level: 5 years as PM or similar role
  • Education/Training: Degree in Engineering, or Construction Management preferred or proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, tools, and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Proficiency in using precision tools such as calipers for accurate measurements
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing pipefitting work
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting, climbing, balancing, reaching, pushing, pulling, and crawling.
  • Visual and hearing acuity required.
  • Physically fit for heavy industrial construction work
  • Ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions in English and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Work performed in fabrication shops, industrial construction sites, and offshore facilities.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, loud noise, moving mechanical parts, electrical energy, fabrication equipment, chemicals, and airborne particles.
  • May be required to work in confined spaces and at heights exceeding 200 feet while wearing full-body harness and required PPE.
