To thrive as an Offshore Pilot, you need a solid background in maritime navigation, vessel maneuvering, and a recognized marine pilot certification. Strong situational awareness, decisiveness, and excellent communication skills help foster safe operations and teamwork. Offshore Pilots often work in rotational shifts, such as two weeks on and two weeks off, to accommodate the demands of 24/7 vessel movements and weather conditions.
