Job Description

Sets up, operates and maintains laboratory instruments, monitors experiments, makes observations, calculates and records results, and often develops conclusions. 

Individual is familiar with basic scientific principles and has had some laboratory experience. 

Can follow written direction. 

Has good communication skills and is computer literate. 

Will perform routine chemical and possible physical analyses related testing from manufactured samples and quality research, and provide laboratory support to projects in Analytical Sciences. 


Qualifications

Requirements: 

1 year experience in a lab setting 

A degree in the sciences is preferred but not required 

Experience with biometer or a Bostwick Consistometer is a plus 

Experience with basic lab techniques and motivated to be trained on new techniques as the need arises 

Must be creative, self-directed problem solver 

Interpersonal communication needs 

Experience with MS Office software - Excel, Outlook, Word
