Java Developer

Alpharetta, GA

6+ Months

Need GC and USC

Top Three Skills:

1) 5+ Years End to End J2EE Development

2) Backend development using Struts/Spring, and Hibernate Webservices

3) Front end development - HTML/CSS, JavaScript

4) Must have a Degree in Computer Science (Masters Preferred)

They must be proficient in Jquery, Ajax, Json. Would need computer science or engineering degree, would prefer masters degree.

Job Description:

The Opus team is responsible for the delivery of 4 applications that are used inside retail stores by sales people and self service kiosks, as well as partnering with Innovation / R&D to create new applications.

Day to Day: This person will be on a team of 4-6 developers. They will spend their time doing pure J2EE Web Development. This is 90% new development, but will times where they will work on enhancements of apps currently in place.

THIS PERSON NEEDS TO BE MORE ORIENTED TOWARDS THE FRONT END.Everyone on this team works through the full SDLC. This person needs to know how to develop end to end- from the GUI to the Database.

This person needs to have the ability to code the UI and then tie the UI to enterprise backend systems. This person also needs to have strong enough understanding of end to end development in order to communicate with the middle and back end developers on the team.

SKILLS NEEDED IN DETAIL:

Front End- Struts 1.2 Framework and Javascript. Must be able to develop Javascript FROM SCRATCH. HTML, CSS, Jquery, AJAX experience.

Middle Tier-Weblogic App Servers Experience

Backend- EJB Stateless Beans and JDBC.

Databases: Oracle 10G and experience using TOAD.

Web Services- all SOAP creating and consuming.

Eclipse IDE experience

Basic Unix troubleshooting experience.
