What is a typical work schedule like for an offshore helper on an offshore platform?

Offshore Helpers usually work a rotational schedule, such as two weeks on followed by two weeks off, depending on the employer and location of the platform. During their rotation, they often work 12-hour shifts and may be required to work both days and nights. The work environment is team-oriented, and helpers live on-site in shared accommodations with other crew members for the duration of their rotation. A strong work ethic, teamwork, adaptability, and clear communication skills help individuals excel in this role. These competencies are crucial due to the demanding physical environment, safety-sensitive operations, and close-knit collaborative teams found on offshore platforms.

How do I get a job working offshore as an offshore helper?

To work offshore as an offshore helper, you typically need a high school diploma or equivalent, basic physical fitness, and the ability to work in a demanding environment.
