Job description

Job Requirements

Quest Global delivers world-class end-to-end engineering solutions by leveraging our deep industry knowledge and digital expertise. By bringing together technologies and industries, alongside the contributions of diverse individuals and their areas of expertise, we are able to solve problems better, faster. This multi-dimensional approach enables us to solve the most critical and large-scale challenges across the aerospace & defense, automotive, energy, hi-tech, healthcare, medical devices, rail and semiconductor industries.

We are looking for humble geniuses, who believe that engineering has the potential to make the impossible possible; innovators, who are not only inspired by technology and innovation, but also perpetually driven to design, develop, and test as a trusted partner for Fortune 500 customers. As a team of remarkably diverse engineers, we recognize that what we are really engineering is a brighter future for us all. If you want to contribute to meaningful work and be part of an organization that truly believes when you win, we all win, and when you fail, we all learn, then we’re eager to hear from you.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead and drive our Battery and Charging (B&C) programs. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional engineering efforts across hardware, firmware, and systems teams. You will act as the crucial connective tissue for a horizontal workstream that caters to our entire portfolio.

This role requires deep technical expertise to understand complex power and charging data, coupled with the ability to operate highly autonomously. You will shield the engineering team from organizational noise, manage offshore resources, and serve as the primary interface for client Directly Responsible Individuals (DRIs).

The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills:

 What You Will Do:

  • Horizontal Program Leadership: Manually maintain, own, and drive end-to-end program execution for all cross-portfolio initiatives the Battery team is involved in (AI glasses, charging cases, AR accessories).
  • Technical Validation: Apply deep technical expertise to independently evaluate engineering test results and verify alignment with program objectives. Must operate with high technical autonomy, requiring minimal guidance, interpretation, or oversight from the Tech Lead.
  • Offshore Team Management: Oversee a dedicated offshore engineering team, ensuring their workloads are balanced and they are not overloaded. Guarantee that all offshore deliverables, test results, and evidence (e.g., video recordings of defects) are clear, concise, and accurately demonstrate the specific issues being reported.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for client DRIs. Provide clear, data-driven program status updates, explaining complex technical issues, product roadmaps, and mitigation plans in clear, layman's terms.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with hardware engineering, firmware, systems validation, quality, and operations teams to gather and distribute status updates cleanly, ensuring the core B&C engineering team is not overloaded with communication overhead.
  • Autonomous Execution: Proactively identify program gaps, parse complex engineering data, and translate findings to cross-functional contacts independently.

What You Will Bring:

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management and hands on experience within consumer electronics, development or validation of wearables, or hardware product development.
  • Deep technical depth and understanding of battery technologies, power management systems, charging architectures, and related testing protocols.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional hardware/firmware programs from concept through production.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to distill complex engineering results and issues into plain, accessible language for non-technical stakeholders and client DRIs.
  • Strong understanding of hardware development lifecycle (EVT/DVT/PVT), system validation, and quality processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority across geographically distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with smart glasses, AR/VR wearables, or IoT consumer electronics.
  • Experience directly managing and optimizing the output of offshore engineering teams or distributed testing facilities.
  • Familiarity with RF/wireless systems (WiFi, BT/BLE), camera systems, audio pipelines, or sensor subsystems.
  • Provide technical guidance on prioritizing.
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification.

Pay Range: $110K-$120K

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
