Description:

Seatrax, Inc's Belle Chasse division specializes in servicing and providing parts for other offshore crane manufacturers' products.

Our well-trained team of certified offshore personnel focus on inspecting, repairing and operating equipment not only in the Gulf of Mexico but globally as well. In addition to providing top-notch service and parts, Seatrax Belle Chasse also offers a selection of used cranes to meet your offshore crane needs.


We are seeking experienced Mechanics to join our team.


Job Summary:

Mechanics at Seatrax are responsible for cleaning up, loading, and unloading, and transporting equipment/items with a forklift and crane. Participate in the maintenance and repair of large drilling equipment.


Main Responsibilities:

ยท Assists in a variety of functions, such as repair and manual labor jobs as needed.

ยท Perform troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs equipment per Work Instructions.

ยท Work under the supervision of the Lead Technician and the Shop Foreman.

ยท Relies on pre-established SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) and Work Instructions to complete repairs and tasks.

ยท Maintain and keep a clean working space and clear of clutter.

ยท Ensure all tools are picked up and stored properly at the end of shift.


Additional Duties:

ยท Complete any additional tasks, including documentation and photographs, as directed.

ยท Communicate with management about all information pertaining to your job.

ยท Attend all meetings and training required for Seatrax, Inc, specific job(s) and professional development.

ยท Adhere to all Seatrax, Inc. and HSE policies and procedures.

ยท Comply with QMS processes and policies.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

ยท Possess basic mechanical understanding.

ยท Possess a working knowledge of the principles of hydraulics. (preferred)

ยท To read schematics and drawings (preferred)

ยท To read and comprehend technical work instructions.

ยท Possess basic math skills.

ยท To endure prolonged periods spent on your feet a

ยท To work in inclement weather conditions.

Requirements:

ยท High School diploma or equivalent/ combination of education and experience

ยท Communication skills, both written and oral

ยท Must be able to take instruction and direction from management.

ยท Must be a team-player.

ยท Able to work independently and safely.

Preferred Experience but not required:

ยท Advance mechanical expertise.

ยท Experience in offshore drilling equipment maintenance and repairs.
