Purpose
  • The Area Construction Superintendent is responsible for managing (Supervision and Coordination) all daily muti-discipline construction activities in project / onsite for topside module fabrication, integration, system/sub-system MC and PCC, COW and Punches, and other specific job with complexity. facilitating effective communication between various stakeholders, ensuring they are carried out in compliance with the project HSSE, Quality and schedule requirements.
Responsibilities
  • You review the area/modules construction methods, priorities and schedule.
  • You review the system/sub-system division and coordinate the system/sub-system MC and PCC.
  • You oversee day-to-day construction activities by providing strong leadership.
  • You develop and maintain short-term (look-ahead) schedules and trackers.
  • You ensure the teams are working according to schedule and plan.
  • You direct and supervise site personnel (Supervisors...).
  • You track and report daily progress.
  • You enforce job site quality and mitigate re-works.
  • You enforce job site safety and Company HSSE requirements.
  • You provide technical expertise on construction techniques to your site team, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • You address operational challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to improve construction performance and reduce non-productive time.
  • You coordinate the interface and priorities between disciplines to solve construction issues, follow up on the construction status and progress to meet the schedule.
  • You ensure lessons learnt are captured, understanding the change impact within and across project system boundaries.
Education
  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field with knowledge of construction principles and processes, and HSSE regulations.
Experience
  • Relevant experience in the construction industry, combined with strong understanding of construction & commissioning processes in the relevant discipline and practical knowledge gained managing and leading teams to ensure smooth operations on site.
