The Rigid Printer Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining printing equipment used in the production of rigid packaging materials, specifically cups. This position ensures high-quality printed products through precise machine operation, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols. The role requires technical expertise in printing processes, color management, and equipment maintenance while maintaining production efficiency and meeting quality standards. The operator works collaboratively within a team environment to achieve production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun 7PM-7AM
$2.50 per hour shift differential when working from 7pm to 7am.
Setappropriate speeds, flows, colors, temperatures, and positions for printing.
Foster an environment focused on safety, including but not limitedto:performing machine safety audits, behavior-based safety observations,identifyingnear misses and opportunities for improvement, driving associate engagement on shift,andperforming lock out tag outprocedures.
Direction Received:Usually,direction comesfrom theDepartment Manager.

High School diploma or equivalentpreferred
Previousprinting experiencea plus(Dry offset, Flexographic or Rotogravure)
Previousexperience on Polytype or Van Dam cup printersa plus
Required Skills:
- Basic computerproficiencyincluding email
- Ability to use Industry standard tools (pneumatic and electrical)
- Accurately read and use measuring tools
- Self-directed and task-oriented with the ability to multitask
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Good organizational skills
- Excellent Time management
- Math and Measurementskills
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift materials asrequired
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Mustpass pre-employmentassessments
