At International Gamco, you'll play a vital role in supporting the production of charitable gaming products used across North America. Your expertise will help keep our presses running efficiently while ensuring exceptional product quality, minimal downtime and maximum production performance.
What You'll Do
As a Press Auxiliary Machine Operator, you'll operate and maintain auxiliary pressroom equipment that supports our offset and flexographic printing operations. Working closely with Press Operators, Maintenance and Quality teams, you'll help ensure smooth production from setup through finished product.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Set up, operate and monitor auxiliary pressroom equipment, including die cutters, Scitex/Rollem systems, cutters, numbering equipment and other press support machinery.
- Prepare equipment for production by loading materials, performing make-ready procedures and adjusting machine settings.
- Assist Press Operators during press startups, production changeovers and material changes.
- Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to maintain efficiency, registration and product quality.
- Inspect printed products to verify registration, cutting accuracy, color consistency and overall quality.
- Identify quality issues and make machine adjustments to minimize waste and maintain production standards.
- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, preventive maintenance and minor mechanical repairs.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs with the Maintenance team when necessary.
- Load and unload paper stock, inks and production materials while maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Complete production reports, machine logs and downtime documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
- Collaborate with Press Operators, Quality and Maintenance teams to achieve production goals.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency and product quality.
- Other duties as required.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with industrial machinery, solving mechanical challenges and producing high-quality products in a team-oriented environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical training or certification in printing technology, manufacturing, or mechanical trades is preferred.
- Two (2) to five (5) years of experience operating offset, flexographic or auxiliary pressroom equipment in a manufacturing or commercial printing environment.
- Experience operating die cutters, Scitex/Rollem systems, cutters, numbering equipment or similar converting equipment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and adjust industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of print registration, cutting accuracy, material handling and quality standards.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and machine adjustments.
- Ability to read production orders, machine manuals and technical documentation.
- Basic computer skills for production reporting and documentation.
- Strong math and measurement skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work well in a diverse environment.
