Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Multi-Department Coordination: Develop, master, and maintain complex production schedules where departments are highly dependent on one another, ensuring seamless handoffs.
  • Backward Scheduling: Utilize backward scheduling logic to map timelines from the required customer delivery date to the initial raw material release.
  • Daily Execution: Create, optimize, and publish daily schedules directly to the manufacturing floor, keeping teams aligned and targeted.
  • Capacity Planning: Monitor and analyze labor, machine, and material capacity to predict bottlenecks and balance workloads.
  • Driver and Dock Management: Direct drivers on dock and material handlers throughout production floor to ensure inventory accuracy and on-time deliveries.
  • Process Improvement: Partner with cross-functional teams to improve task execution as we grow and evolve with business and technical advancements.
  • ERP Mastery: Serve as the power-user for Oracle ERP, ensuring accurate data entry, scheduling execution, and system integrity.
  • Offline Tools & Excel: Maintain and improve various specialized scheduling tools outside of Oracle. Must be proficient in building and using Excel macros to automate reporting and data manipulation.
  • BOM & Routing Creation: Take ownership of entering and configuring new items to be manufactured by building accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) and production routings.
  • Logistics Optimization: Manage the processing of outbound shipments with a strong emphasis on truck maximization (cube/weight optimization) to control freight costs.
  • Data Integrity: Actively participate in auditing and improving inventory accuracy and production reporting accuracy to eliminate discrepancies on the floor.
  • Inventory Control: Assist on-site team in managing inventory and improve accuracy of cycle counts and physical inventory
  • Teamwork: Excel in working with others to execute and improve processes and conquer unforeseen daily obstacles.
  • Internal Customer Service: Act as the primary liaison between Sales, Project Management, Operations, and Procurement to deliver exceptional internal service and transparency.
  • Rapid Pivoting: Thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with the mental agility to re-sequence schedules quickly due to material shortages, machine downtime, or urgent order changes.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • 10+ years of direct experience in manufacturing production scheduling or master planning within a complex, multi-department facility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • APICS / ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a strong plus.
  • Advanced Oracle ERP experience is strictly required.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and the ability to write/debug Macros/VBA).
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing structures (BOMs, Routings, Work Centers, and Lead Times).
  • Goal-Driven: Obsessed with meeting On-Time Delivery (OTD) metrics.
  • Adaptability: Proven ability to maintain composure and pivot strategies instantly in a highly dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills to navigate cross-functional dependencies and manage internal stakeholder expectations.

At our Streetsboro facility, we have a metal stamping plant to provide component parts for our pails.
