Job description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Legal Office Assistant to join our law firm. The ideal candidate will support daily office operations, assist legal staff, and ensure the office runs smoothly and efficiently.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support attorneys and legal secretaries as needed;
  • Proofread letters, briefs and client documents;
  • Organize physical and digital files;
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries;
  • Perform data entry, scanning, copying, and filing;
  • Answer and direct phone calls and take accurate messages;
  • Order and maintain office supplies and inventory;
  • Assure kitchen and conference rooms remain clean and stocked with supplies;
  • Prepare conference rooms for client meetings, depositions, etc.;
  • Assist with conference and/or seminar preparation (gather equipment for booths, track items needed and/or taken to conferences/seminars, etc.);
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or administrative training preferred
  • Prior office or administrative experience preferred; legal office experience a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and comfortable with office technology
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Exercise discretion with confidential information
