Job Description Summary
This position is responsible for the planning, instructing, and directing overall cleaning and sanitation of the Little Chute location.
This position works on 3rd shift Monday-Friday 10pm-6am and may require some Sunday evening work 8pm-Midnight.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct Sanitation team of up to 20 hourly employees, includes training, assigning work and employee development and coaching.
  • Manage and follow all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) to maintain and improve the cleaning of the facility and the production equipment.
  • Maintain and improve sanitation program in order to comply with Federal and State inspections, including maintaining the proper paperwork required by state and federal sanitation regulations.
  • Follow, maintain and update SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) in order to comply with OSHA regulations.
  • Lead Bel's continuous improvement process for the Sanitation team to improve efficiency and develop corrective actions.
  • Manage chemicals, pest control and sanitation of equipment for facility.
  • Maintain sanitation supply inventory.
  • Provide back-up support as needed to Production Supervisors.
  • Oversee ATP testing to ensure passing results.
  • Monitor the proper functioning of the CIP process.
  • Keep all equipment used for cleaning in optimal working order.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Safety, Environmental and Quality
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures by working safely and ensuring safety of others.
  • Follows all environmental protocols as applicable to the job.
  • Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices as stated within the policy.
  • Follow all food safety procedures.
  • Maintains a sanitary and safe work area; performs housekeeping duties as necessary and/or required.
  • Detects potentially hazardous conditions and problems and takes appropriate action to report and/or correct.

Knowledge and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Management or other related field with at least 1 year of experience in sanitation supervision is preferred.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, requires a High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with a minimum of 3 years of food or dairy industry experience, with an emphasis in sanitation.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with chemicals, pest control and sanitation equipment preferred. Including knowledge of clean in place (CIP) and clean out of place (COP) equipment, manual foamers, basic hand tools, operation of production equipment, basic electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment knowledge.
  • Intermediate computer skills required with SAP and MS Office/Excel experience a plus.
  • 3rd shift work required including Sunday work. Hours of work may vary depending on business need.
