Roll-Off Truck Driver (NYC, Outer Boroughs & Parts of Nassau County)

We are seeking an experienced Roll-Off Truck Driver to join our team serving New York City, the outer boroughs, and parts of Nassau County. The ideal candidate is a safety-focused professional with experience of operating manual-transmission roll-off trucks, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering reliable, on-time service. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate manual-transmission roll-off trucks to deliver and remove waste containers.
  • Load and unload containers using the truck's hydraulic systems and equipment.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and service records.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and job site personnel to ensure timely service.
  • Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, traffic laws, and safety procedures.
  • Keep the vehicle clean and report any mechanical issues promptly.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of verifiable roll-off truck driving experience.
  • Valid Class A or Class B CDL held for at least 2 years.
  • Demonstrated experience operating manual-transmission roll-off trucks.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and strong safety history.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems, heavy truck operation, and vehicle inspections.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to communicate with the public, understand traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and complete required reports.
  • Registered with the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse, or willing to register before employment.
  • Ability to pass all required DOT drug and alcohol screenings.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed, in compliance with DOT Hours of Service regulations.
  • Physically capable of performing the essential functions of the job, including operating roll-off equipment and climbing in and out of the truck throughout the workday.
