Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments for clients to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring these plans are specifically tailored to each individual's unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide effective interventions.
  • Engage in ongoing education with clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment modalities, and effective self-care strategies.
  • Monitor and document clients’ progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists and other professionals to provide integrated care, collaborating to discuss treatment strategies and ensure comprehensive support.
  • Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and continuous professional development activities to enhance your clinical skills and stay informed about the latest practices in mood disorder treatment.
  • Advocate for clients, aiming to promote understanding and reduce stigma surrounding mental health issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse population of adults and adolescents experiencing various mood disorders. You will help clients navigate their unique challenges and support them in achieving significant improvements in their mental health and quality of life.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Arizona.
  • Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies, particularly CBT and DBT.
  • Strong knowledge of psychopharmacological treatments and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling you to build rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.
