The architects of the Xgrid cloud business group have 20+ years of combined experience building production-grade hyperscale systems for top silicon valley tech companies including Amazon, Salesforce, VMware, Cisco, and multiple top startups with successful exits.

We are seeking dedicated Oracle GoldenGate specialists with a deep understanding of data integration and replication within the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) ecosystem. Experience with OCI services such as Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Database Cloud Service, and Oracle Big Data Cloud Service, tailored for seamless integration with Oracle GoldenGate, is highly valued. Our cloud business group collaborates with premier customers in Silicon Valley and Europe, assisting them in developing and managing robust, real-time data replication and integration systems leveraging the latest OCI technologies and Oracle GoldenGate capabilities. Knowledge of data replication and integration strategies across different databases and platforms, including other public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP), is a significant advantage, especially if the candidate has experience in managing, operating, and migrating data in multi-cloud environments

At Xgrid, you will enjoy being part of an extremely talented, motivated team interacting with both business and development counterparts to capture key marketing requirements and translate them to products and services designed for our customers. The ideal Xgrid DevOps Engineer will have experience developing and delivering complex enterprise-grade mission-critical automated software systems for our cloud customers.

If you are passionate about working with the world’s top tech silicon valley companies and highly experienced software engineers and are excited about solving interesting and complex problems and challenges in a fast-paced environment, where you get to not only grow yourself but also help build a team and culture, Xgrid has a place for you and we would love to have you onboard!

What You Will Do:

  • Design, implement, and manage real-time data replication and integration solutions using Oracle GoldenGate within OCI environments to support business continuity, high availability, and real-time data warehousing.

  • Develop scripts to automate Oracle GoldenGate processes, including configuration, monitoring, and error handling, ensuring efficient and reliable data replication and integration workflows.

  • Create and manage detailed documentation of Oracle GoldenGate configurations, data replication topologies, and custom integration solutions within OCI, including setup instructions, architecture diagrams, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Collaborate with database administrators, cloud architects, and application developers to design and implement Oracle GoldenGate solutions that meet business requirements for data integration, migration, and real-time analytics.

Required Skills:

  • Solid experience with Oracle GoldenGate for data replication and integration, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting in OCI environments.

  • Strong understanding of database and data integration technologies, with hands-on experience managing data replication across heterogeneous databases.

  • Experience with OCI services, particularly those related to data management and analytics, and a deep understanding of cloud architecture principles.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement effective data replication and integration solutions in complex IT environments.

  • Strong documentation skills, capable of creating comprehensive guides and reports that communicate technical details clearly and concisely.

Preferred Skills:

  • GoldenGate Experience: 5+ years with Oracle GoldenGate 19c and 21c, transitioning from Classic Architecture to Microservices. Must have experience with Oracle DB.

  • Monitoring Expertise: Proficient in using Oracle Enterprise Manager 13 for GoldenGate monitoring, including setup, target discovery, and alert configurations.

  • High Availability: Knowledgeable in configuring GoldenGate for high availability according to Oracle best practices.

  • Deployment Skills: Capable of deploying GoldenGate in complex, on-premise, and cloud (notably AWS) environments, with experience in cross-region DR implementations.
