Job description

This position is located on the Island of Oahuat Pililaau Army Recreation Center, Waianae, HI.

Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.Required Qualifications:Minimum Qualification Criteria
  • Must hold current Waterfront Lifeguard, CPR, Oxygen Administration, AED, and First Aid certifications
  • Ability to obtain First Responder certification within 6 months of hire
  • Must have 12 months of experience in waterfront lifeguard operations, including ocean rescue experience

  • Must demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and complete tasks within established timeframes

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and using correct grammar

  • Possess effective people skills and the ability to work well with staff and the public

  • Experience with office and administrative functions, including preparing and managing reports
  • Lifeguard Instructor certificate is preferred
