About Zencargo
The Opportunity
You will join a product team, work directly with senior leadership, and partner with a dedicated design and engineering squad. The role offers significant autonomy, visibility, and the opportunity to influence both our product strategy and how we develop software.
- Own the vision, priorities, roadmap, and measurable outcomes for your product area, balancing customer value, operational impact, commercial priorities, and technical complexity.
- Lead discovery and prioritisation for complex customer and operational problems, using user research, product and operational data, market insight, and commercial context to determine where the team should focus.
- Experience working closely with engineers and designers throughout discovery, solution design and delivery, without relying on heavy hand-offs or excessive documentation.
- Map and redesign freight and operational processes to identify opportunities for technology, automation, and AI to reduce friction and improve decision-making.
- Define success measures before development begins and use product data, customer feedback, and operational insight to assess whether released solutions are delivering the intended outcome.
- Take responsibility for initiatives beyond launch, ensuring solutions are adopted, create measurable value, and are improved based on evidence.
- Facilitate sessions and communicate effectively to align product, engineering, design, operations, commercial, and leadership teams around priorities and decisions.
- Contribute to the broader product strategy and roadmap that advances our vision of intelligent supply chains.
- Use AI tools as part of your day-to-day product practice to improve the speed and quality of research, analysis, prototyping, communication, and delivery.
Ongoing: Consistently identify and solve valuable problems, make strong prioritisation decisions, and deliver improvements that create measurable value for customers and the business.
- Experience as a Product Manager with a track record of shipping impactful software products or features, ideally in SaaS, logistics, supply chain technology, or another operationally complex environment.
- Experience owning a product area or complex problem space, rather than only managing a backlog or coordinating delivery.
- Strong product judgement, with the ability to make pragmatic trade-offs between customer value, operational impact, commercial priorities, and technical complexity.
- Strong user research, data analysis, process mapping, and facilitation skills.
- Experience working closely with engineers and designers throughout discovery, solution design and delivery, without relying on heavy hand-offs or excessive documentation.
- Recent, hands-on experience using modern AI tools to improve product discovery, research, analysis, prototyping, specification, or delivery, alongside experience contributing to an AI-enabled product or feature.
- Confidence working directly with senior leaders, communicating complex issues clearly, and influencing decisions through evidence, product insight, and sound judgement.
- You will be comfortable operating with ambiguity, challenging established processes and adapting your approach as new information emerges.
- A versatile, hands-on working style, with the ability to move between strategic thinking, detailed discovery, stakeholder alignment, and supporting delivery.
- Domain knowledge in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain.
- Experience in a startup, scale-up, or fast-growth technology environment.
- Experience building products for operational users as well as external customers.
- Familiarity with ThoughtSpot or similar analytics and business intelligence tools.
