Job description

THE ROLE

We're looking for a licensed therapist to join our Palo Alto-based practice. You'll work 11am-7pm, Monday-Friday, with a typical caseload of 21-22 billable hours per week. The remaining time is spent on notes, treatment planning, weekly consultations, and training — so you're not drowning in charting at night.

We work with individuals, children, teens, adults, families, and couples. You'll have input on your caseload — we match clients to you based on what you're interested in, not just who's next on the list.

WHAT YOU GET

Reasonable caseload. You're not drowning. 21-22 billable hours means you have time to think and actually do good work.

Real training. Not just "required" CEs — we provide them and pay for them. Weekly consultation groups, skills training, and full CBT/OCD certification. If you want to build a couples practice, we have a dedicated consultation group for that.

Your admin handled. Scheduling, billing, intake, marketing — that's not on you. You do clinical work.

Team environment. We're therapist-owned, we actually support each other, and people stick around because it's sustainable.

Compensation. $90,000 to $100,000 as a W-2 employee based on experience. Health insurance (we cover 50%), dental, vision, 401k, malpractice insurance covered, cell phone reimbursement. PTO and paid sick leave.

LOCATIONS

Palo Alto, Menlo Park, or San Jose. In-person and hybrid options available.

We're hiring now and reviewing applications on a rolling basis.

Equal Opportunity Employer | LMFT, LCSW, LPCC

What Therapists Here Say:

"PAT is a very positive work environment. The practice goes above and beyond to offer regular consultation and training. The care coordinators and admin team are exceptional — you can actually focus on clients. One of the best places I've worked."

"You get the feel of private practice but with actual co-workers. Everyone shares resources, and they really do try to match you with clients you're passionate about. There's real opportunity for training and growth."

"The kindness and thoughtfulness here is something I'm not used to. I can't imagine working somewhere else."
