Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team! As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will be working closely with Occupational Therapists as well as other Assistants to provide therapy and support for our pediatric clients. You will be following plans of care previously laid out, assisting your clients with sensory regulation skills,  using adaptive devices, and maintaining all therapy spaces and equipment.  OT services are provided for in-home Early Intervention Services in the Riverside and/or High Desert Area.   The ideal candidate has strong time management skills, excellent customer service skills, and knowledge of occupational therapy guidelines and recommendations. 
Responsibilities 
  • Read, understand, and follow all plans of care and therapy laid out for clients under your care
  • Assist clients with using adaptive equipment, modified exercises, and sensory regulation skills, learning basic life skills
  • Assist Occupational Therapists with exercises, communication, and care coordination as needed
  • Assemble, clean, and maintain equipment and materials used on a daily basis
  • Attend care plans for clients, provide input, and go over client care plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and changes 
Qualifications
  • Current state licensing for occupational therapy assistance required
  • Previous experience working in an pediatric setting needed
  • Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • The ability to make decisions in a high-stress environment
