Job description

Do you turn safety principles into everyday habits?

Are you energized by walking the floor, coaching teams, and turning near-miss data into real improvements? Do you enjoy building training that sticks and documentation that’s always inspection-ready? If so, this role could be your perfect fit.

Your impact
  • Champion programs and procedures that keep people safe and operations compliant.
  • Seek out hazards through routine inspections and drive practical fixes.
  • Lead or support investigations for incidents, injuries, and near-misses; help uncover root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain OSHA-required records and help ensure alignment with 29 CFR 1910.
  • Deliver engaging new-hire safety orientation and ongoing training for the workforce.
  • Promote consistent PPE use and safe work techniques with coaching and feedback.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and recommend design or process changes to reduce risk.
  • Work with supervisors to spot hazards and close corrective actions promptly.
  • Keep meticulous files: inspections, training logs, corrective action registers.
  • Support emergency response planning, evacuation drills, and safety committee projects.
  • Monitor and report on key metrics: incidents, near-misses, and action-item completion.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Facilities, HR, and Maintenance to foster a proactive safety culture.
  • Assist with workers’ compensation inquiries and help coordinate return-to-work when appropriate.
  • Stay informed on OSHA updates and industry best practices.
  • Pitch in with related duties as needed.
What makes you successful here
  • Preferred education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Occupational/Industrial Safety, HR, Manufacturing, or related.
  • Preferred experience: 2+ years in manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, logistics, or industrial operations.
  • Practical understanding of OSHA General Industry (29 CFR 1910).
  • Proven background in inspections and incident investigation.
  • Strong communicator and coach for all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-focused with excellent documentation discipline.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid are pluses (OSHA 30 may be obtained post-hire).
  • Ability to walk production areas for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
What’s in it for you
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Employer-paid basic life and short-term disability.
  • Optional supplemental life and long-term disability.
  • 401(k) with company contribution.
  • Paid Personal, Vacation, and Holiday time for full-time team members.
  • Onsite Aurora Health & Wellness Center.
  • Growth and learning opportunities within smart manufacturing.
Ready to lead by example?

If you’re driven to create a safer, smarter workplace—and you love seeing ideas turn into everyday practices—we’d love to meet you.
