Job description

Position Description/Summary:The Occupancy Assistant is responsible for providing case management services to applicants and clients, as well as aiding Occupancy Specialists and back-up for reception. This position supports the Rental Services Department by assisting/corresponding with applicants and clients, fulfilling record-keeping functions, ensuring record/document compliance, and performing other administrative tasks essential to the successful function of the department. The Occupancy Assistant should be a motivated self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills. The person in this role should have a professional demeanor with the ability to build a good working rapport with all staff. The Occupancy Assistant shall be an effective, detail-oriented individual with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team and possessing exceptional time-management skills. The person in this role must be capable of maintaining confidential records/information, understanding and interpreting program guidelines effectively, and completing tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with regular interruptions in workflow, while meeting deadlines under pressure. Regular and consistent punctuality and attendance are required for success in this role.This position reports to the Director of Rental Services and/or assigned Supervisor.
