Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate / Occupancy Agreement Specialist to support DHS/FPS with federal real property, leasing, occupancy agreements, transactions, and portfolio management activities.

The specialist will support the Government in managing occupancy requirements and real estate transactions while coordinating with FPS, GSA, landlords, brokers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support development, modification, administration, and tracking of occupancy agreements.
  • Research and analyze real estate market conditions, availability, rents, and transaction information.
  • Support federal leasing and real property acquisition activities.
  • Analyze current and future space requirements.
  • Assist with lease and occupancy agreement negotiations and documentation.
  • Support preparation of market surveys, acquisition documentation, and transaction analyses.
  • Coordinate with GSA, landlords, brokers, property owners, and Government stakeholders.
  • Track occupancy agreements, expiration dates, renewals, options, and related actions.
  • Support real estate transaction schedules and deliverables.
  • Analyze potential consolidation, relocation, expansion, and costโ€‘saving opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate real estate and occupancy records.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, briefings, and transaction documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience working for or with the Federal Government.
  • Experience with federal real property, leasing, occupancy agreements, commercial real estate, or related Government property activities.
  • Knowledge of federal real estate processes and Government stakeholder coordination.
  • Strong analytical, research, negotiation, documentation, and communication skills.
  • CCIM or FAC-COR certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Location / Work Arrangement

Position supports DHS/FPS facilities in the Northern Virginia / Washington, DC metropolitan area and may require onsite support.
