Duties * You will perform nondestructive testing and analysis on mechanical components, piping systems, and structural assemblies. * You will inspect nuclear reactor plant components. * You will determine the internal integrity of main hydraulic systems, auxiliary sea water systems, and propulsion systems. * You will complete and maintain detailed test records that are subject to audit. * You will perform calibration and safety checks of test equipment prior to and after performance of inspections. You will be subject to random testing. * You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination. * You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift. * This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. * This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
