Department: Environment, Health, and Safety

Location: SMC
Description
FII USA, Inc., a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking a Safety Specialist to support workplace safety programs and help ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations. Once a part of the team, you will be responsible for promoting a safe work environment, conducting safety inspections, supporting employee training, investigating incidents, and driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout our manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
  • Support implementation and enforcement of workplace safety policies, procedures, and programs
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and identify opportunities to reduce workplace hazards
  • Perform incident, injury, and near-miss investigations and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Assist with OSHA compliance and maintain required safety documentation
  • Coordinate and deliver new hire safety orientation and ongoing employee safety training
  • Monitor employee compliance with PPE requirements and safe work practices
  • Conduct ergonomic evaluations and recommend improvements to reduce injury risks
  • Assist supervisors with hazard identification and implementation of corrective actions
  • Maintain safety records, inspections, corrective action logs, and training documentation
  • Support emergency response planning, evacuation drills, and safety committee activities
  • Track safety metrics including incidents, near misses, and corrective actions
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Facilities, Human Resources, and Maintenance to promote a proactive safety culture
  • Assist with workers' compensation investigations and return-to-work coordination as needed
  • Stay current on OSHA regulations and industry best practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Human Resources, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of workplace safety experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, logistics, or industrial operations preferred
  • Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry (29 CFR 1910) regulations
  • Experience conducting safety inspections and incident investigations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coach employees and supervisors on safe work practices
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred (or ability to obtain after hire)
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred
  • Ability to walk the production floor for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
