Job Title: Physical Therapist (PT) – Inpatient
Facility/Unit: OCC Therapy DHOC : 7790
Shift: Days (Sun/Mon/Tues/Wed preferred)
Hours: 10 Hours per Day (40 Hours per Week) – Will consider 8-hour shifts
Pay Rate: $49.84 – $75.21/hr
Type: Contract (Clinical Allied Travel)


Job Summary

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) for an inpatient acute care position. The Physical Therapist will implement individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, assist in discharge planning, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in compliance with hospital standards and the Physical Therapy Practice Act.


Responsibilities
  • Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans

  • Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments and modalities

  • Provide safe and comprehensive discharge planning

  • Delegate treatment procedures appropriately within scope of practice

  • Maintain thorough, timely, and accurate documentation

  • Facilitate interdisciplinary communication to maximize patient outcomes

  • Assist with patient scheduling and departmental workflow

  • Provide education and mentoring to student interns as assigned

  • Maintain treatment areas and equipment supplies

  • Participate in departmental programs and initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with hospital licensing, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Physical Therapy (Required)

  • Licensed by the Physical Therapy Board of the State of California (Required)

  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification

  • Acute Care experience required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks


Preferred
  • Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy

  • Prior inpatient hospital experience

  • Experience mentoring students or new staff
