Overview/ Job Responsibilities

Entarian is seeking a Marine Environmental Data Analyst to support the NOAA Office of Habitat Conservationโ€™s NOAA Chesapeake Bay Office (NCBO) in Annapolis, MD. The position will support the Ecosystem Science & Synthesis program in two primary areas: 1) Maintenance and enhancement of the Chesapeake Bay Interpretive Buoy System (CBIBS), hypoxia buoy system, and related assets and information; 2) Collection, storage, use, and/or interpretation of observational data.

Duties include:

  • Data collection, standardization and processing: provide ingest, standardization, and processing for CBIBS, hypoxia, and other observational data to ensure quality and readiness for product integration.
  • Data Product Development: develop data and information products utilizing CBIBS, hypoxia and other observational data in support of NCBOs habitat and fisheries constituents.
  • Data visualization and interpretation: design intuitive visualizations and interpretive materials to effectively communicate
