JOB DESCRIPTION
The OBR Construction Field Expeditor is responsible for supporting field operations through the coordination of materials, equipment, inventory, documentation, and communication between the field, site management team, vendors, and customers. This position plays a key role in helping projects remain organized, properly supported, and on schedule throughout all phases of construction. The ideal candidate is safety focused, self starter, proactive, detail-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environments while maintaining strong communication with site management.
ROLES/TASKS OF THE POSITION
  • Coordinate and expedite the delivery of materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to project sites.
  • Maintain communication between field personnel, project managers, superintendents, vendors, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Track material orders, deliveries, shortages, and back orders to minimize project delays.
  • Verify materials and equipment received on-site match purchase orders and project requirements.
  • Support field leadership with daily operational needs and problem resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, receipts, equipment usage, and field documentation.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate potential delays or issues to management.
  • Assist in coordinating travel of personnel throughout the project site when necessary.
  • Ensure all field activities are conducted in compliance with company safety policies and customer requirements.
  • Participate in meetings, planning discussions, and coordination calls as needed.
  • Support inventory management and material control processes.
  • Help facilitate efficient workflow and productivity across multiple projects or job sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid TWIC card.
  • Maintain active status in DISA.
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations, OBR Policies and Procedures, and a commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Good organizational skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Computer literate and competent
  • Self-starter with a willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Industrial plant or construction experience preferred
