NR Consulting is seeking a Customer Service Diagnostic Content Developer/Author to join their team in Woodridge, IL. The role involves developing technical service content related to automotive diagnostics and requires a strong background in vehicle functionalities and fault code analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Can understand functionality of features evolved in vehicle to diagnose possible causes of DTC
• Good Knowledge of Fault code analysis, Arbortext with automobile background experience, In Arbortext, experience working with DITA and XML, Knowledge of CAN communication over OBD
• Experienced in Diagnostics troubleshooting/Technical Writer with more than 2 years of experience
• Independently gather information from technical and non-technical Subject Matter Experts to organize, develop, and write technical service content
• Hands-on experience with developing customer service fault code diagnostics documentation
• Knowledge of DITA XML authoring using Arbortext and graphics tool such as Adobe Illustrator
• Understanding of structured authoring (DITA)
• Hands on experience in vehicle electrical/electronic diagnostics
• Knowledge of diagnostics tools used in automobile for vehicle diagnosis
• Experience with service tools and its specifications used for vehicle servicing
