Job description

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai's Affiliation with New York City Health + Hospitals | Queens serving culturally diverse communities in Queens, New York, seeks a physician leader to join our team at Queens as the Chief of Orthopedics, to lead the delivery of high-quality care for all musculoskeletal conditions.

The Chief will be responsible for the administration, planning, organizing and overall general management of the Department of Orthopedics. As a leader, you will implement a strategic vision around quality, growth, and efficiency, and help develop new clinical programs for the patients we serve in the community. In addition, the Chief will provide a wide range of comprehensive Orthopedic care and services to patients of all ages.

Candidates must have a MD or DO degree and be board certified in Orthopedic Surgery with a valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number. Qualified candidates should have strong clinical abilities, teaching experience and communication and interpersonal skills. Prior management/leadership positions and experience with academic medical centers and/or public health systems are preferred.

We also offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications.
