Are you a skilled CNC Programmer who enjoys solving challenging manufacturing problems and seeing your programs come to life on the shop floor?

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our growing precision machining team in Sidney, Ohio. This is an opportunity to work in a high-mix, low-volume job shop environment where every day brings new projects, unique parts, and complex machining challenges.

You'll play a critical role in programming and optimizing CNC equipment while partnering closely with machinists and engineers to deliver high-quality precision components for a variety of industries.


What You'll Do

  • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam and other CAM software

  • Develop efficient machining strategies for CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis equipment
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements
  • Select tooling, fixturing, cutting parameters, and machining sequences
  • Support setup, prove-out, and first-piece inspection activities
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and provide programming support on the shop floor
  • Improve cycle times, tool life, and overall manufacturing efficiency
  • Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production personnel to solve complex manufacturing challenges
  • Maintain setup sheets, tooling documentation, and program revisions
  • Support continuous improvement, quality, and cost-reduction initiatives

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in CNC programming, CAM programming, or CNC machining

  • Proficiency with Mastercam or similar CAM software

  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, feeds, speeds, and cutting strategies

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T

  • Experience programming precision-machined components with tight tolerances

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills


Preferred

  • Experience in a high-mix, low-volume job shop

  • Programming and supporting 3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis CNC machines

  • CNC milling and turning experience

  • Prototype and short-run production environments

  • Experience with Siemens NX CAM or other advanced CAM systems

  • Knowledge of process improvement and lean manufacturing principles
