Business Development Manager -- Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering

EDAG, Inc.

Troy, MI โ€ข On-site

Full-time

Job description

Description:

Who we are:

EDAG Inc. is a globally leading, independent engineering services provider that combines excellent engineering with the latest technology trends. We are the experts in the all-round development of complete vehicles and smart factories. Our interdisciplinary expertise in the areas of software and digitalization means that we have the crucial skills to actively shape dynamic transformation processes as an innovative partner.

Development with passion. That's us.

With an interdisciplinary team of around 9,000 experts, EDAG develops unique mobility and industrial solutions for customers that include the world's leading automotive and non-automotive companies.

This is how you will grow:

This is a true business-development "hunter" role — focused on originating new client relationships and large engineering projects across high-growth U.S. manufacturing sectors. You will open doors, shape opportunities early, and bring the full strength of EDAG's global engineering network to clients investing in the future of American manufacturing. If you are energized by building something, by winning new logos rather than managing existing ones, and by selling genuinely differentiated engineering capability, this role is built for you.

What You'll Do:

  • Identify and win new clients and major projects across advanced manufacturing, defense and aerospace, energy and batteries, life sciences, and consumer goods.
  • Build and actively manage a portfolio of target accounts, engaging decision-makers early — before formal RFPs — to shape opportunities around value.
  • Sell EDAG's full portfolio: Smart Factory consulting and digital-twin solutions, owner's engineering for capital projects, and manufacturing engineering services.
  • Develop compelling, value-based proposals that articulate ROI and lifecycle value.
  • Leverage EDAG's global delivery network and technology partnerships (including our Nvidia/Omniverse digital-twin capability) as key differentiators.
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management and forecasting in CRM.
  • Partner closely with technical and delivery leaders to scope and price winning engagements.
Requirements:

This is how you will take us forward:

  • A proven track record of independently originating new business and winning large projects in engineering, consulting, or industrial/capital-project services.
  • Established credibility and a strong network in one or more target sectors — semiconductor/advanced manufacturing, defense, Aerospace, energy, or life sciences strongly preferred.
  • Consultative, value-based selling skills and confidence operating at senior client levels.
  • A self-directed, entrepreneurial "hunter" mindset — you build territory and create momentum from the ground up.
  • Strong CRM discipline and accurate pipeline forecasting.
  • Familiarity with smart-factory, digital-twin, or Industry 4.0 solutions.
  • Experience with owner's-engineering or capital-project delivery.
  • Experience selling globally delivered engineering services.
