Job description

Personal Systems Security Response Senior Manager

Description -

Personal Systems is in search of a senior security response program manager with a background in managing security vulnerabilities and mitigations. This critical team is responsible for key security response processes and communications.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced manager interested in providing contributions in a highly complex and diverse environment. You will be joining HPs Personal Systems group to help deliver world class customer experiences. The candidate will join the team providing our customers swift responses to potential security threats.

Responsibilities/Critical Competences:

  • People management for the team of security response program managers.
  • Coordination with key partners: Microsoft, Intel, AMD, NVIDIA etc., normally under NDA
  • Public responses in the form of reactive statements, security bulletins, customer advisories, field communiques and/or engineering advisories
  • Mitigation tracking and risk management across the entire Personal Systems organization
  • Internal HP executive level communications and reviews
  • Webinars, whitepapers, etc. for Technical Consultants for more complex mitigations
  • Review response with HP Sales organization for very severe issues
  • Complex engineering communications
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with HP partners reviewing responses, determine impacts and build strategies for continued partnership and positive outcomes
  • Leading coordination efforts across many diverse functional areas inclusive of Legal, Public Relations, Marketing, Engineering, Quality, Support, Cyber Security, and many others
  • Develop and support tools and processes to assist with collection and analysis of security information
  • Manage triage and tactical mitigation responses across the Personal Systems organization and extended cross functional business units
  • Leadership and management of bug bounty program
  • Pan-HP contribution to security response standards and initiatives
  • Established/maintain closed-loop feedback mechanisms with Sales, Support, and key partners to capture customer sentiment on security responses, driving continuous improvement in response quality, timeliness, and overall customer satisfaction for security bulletins

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to present complex technical content to executive and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to solve complex problems
  • Experience in conceptualizing broad direction, contribute to enhancing it and enable bringing it to market

Education/Experience

BS/MS in Business Management, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience

Expert program/project management skills

Ability to lead across teams, companies & cultures to achieve results

The pay range for this role is$147,050to$230,850USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
